Buy Blue Springs Passport Challenge

The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce encourages shopping local through the Buy Blue Springs program. This year the Chamber has created a Buy Blue Springs Passport Challenge to make holiday shopping even more rewarding and sustainable. Through this challenge, we encourage both locals and visitors to shop local Blue Springs businesses with a multi-week Lil’ Blue Scavenger Hunt. Participants have the chance to win an exclusive Blue Springs tote bag and get entered into a grand prize drawing for $400 cash. The contest will run November 10 through December 14, 2023. Join the challenge, explore Blue Springs businesses and win!

How to Play

The Buy Blue Springs Passport Challenge will run Friday, November 10 – Thursday, December 14, 2023.

Sign up with your email address by scanning the QR code below, or by visiting https://map.proxi.co/r/buybluesprings.

Once signed up, participants can view participating businesses on the digital map. The goal is to visit and check-in at as many of the businesses on the map as possible in order to collect points towards entries into the grand prize drawing.

Each business (also referred to as a passport stop) has a unique 4-digit code that participants must enter when checking in on the digital map. These 4-digit codes are located on the back of a picture of Lil’ Blue, the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce mascot, which will be on display in each business.

To check-in at a business, open it’s icon on the map, then click the “Check-In” button and enter the 4-digit code on the back of Lil’ Blue.

General passport stops are worth 10 points, and Chamber member passport stops are worth 15 points. Participants earn one entry into the $400 grand prize drawing for every 25 points they accumulate. For example, 200 points equals 8 entries. The more businesses you check-in at, the more points you earn, and the more entries you get into the grand prize drawing!

BONUS! Check in at a minimum of 10 businesses and win a FREE tote bag with an exclusive Blue Springs design! Tote bags can be redeemed while supplies last at the Blue Springs Chamber office at 1000 W. Main Street, Blue Springs, MO 64015.

DOUBLE BONUS! Make a purchase at a passport location and text a photo of your receipt to the Chamber at (855) 931-0402 to get one bonus entry into the grand prize drawing! (One bonus entry per passport stop/business).

If you are a Blue Springs business and would like to participate as a passport location, please contact Becca at bblake@bluespringschamber.com. Flyer

The Buy Blue Springs initiative was started in 2009 at the suggestion of one of our chamber members, Mark Whitlow of Office Products Alliance.  Our continued goals of the taskforce are:  to partner with local merchants to help shoppers choose local vendors and suppliers to support and sustain the business community and local economy of Blue Springs, to educate business owners and consumers on how buying locally supports city services and general operations by generating multiple taxes, educate the community on how dollars spent in Blue Springs stay in Blue Springs through a multitude of different channels. The committee also promotes tourism in Blue Springs by urging visitors to shop, dine, play and stay in Blue Springs.
